On Tuesday 24th June, Theo Fennell hosted our annual awards at the Royal College of Art. The awards, now in their tenth year, saw prizes awarded to graduating students from the Goldsmithing, Silversmithing, Metalwork and Jewellery MA Programme.
A panel of respected judges including Carol Woolton (Jewellery Editor of British Vogue), Rachel Hopkins (Senior Creative Designer at Theo Fennell Ltd) and Theo Fennell chose the following five students as their winners for their exceptional work:
- Overall Excellence: Max Danger
- Best Work in Silver: Sofia Winberg
- Best Work in Jewellery: Mahtab Hanna
- Highly Commended: Jacob Erixson
- Highly Commended: Noemie Doge
As well as a cash prize the five winners received a beautiful Silver Pavilion Dish which have been crafted by hand in Theo Fennell’s dedicated workshop.
As a leader in his field, Theo is passionate about promoting and nurturing young talent and actively supports the future of the British jewellery and silversmithing industries, as demonstrated through his longstanding partnership with the Royal College of Art. He will once again be showcasing this year’s winning designs at Theo Fennell’s flagship Fulham Road store later in the year.
