The Cleopatra brooch is designed as an homage to the great Queen- quite wonderfully made by our team of fabulous craftsmen led by Phillip, our apprentice.
Hand -crafted, with a brilliantly heady collection of emeralds, rubies and diamonds with her skull portrait carved in moonstone and her hair in black spinel. The Scarab is carved from Tektite which is believed to be created from Meteorites that broke up in the atmosphere resulting in the molten glass called "The tears of the Gods", only the Pharaoh was allowed to wear them.
Phillip had to show a spectacular piece of work to his Master to gain his Freedom of the City of London during an ancient ceremony at the Goldsmiths Hall which dates back to 1334. By taking on talented apprentices in our workshop, above our flagship store in London, Theo Fennell is proud to be part of this ancient tradition.
The brooch is also enamelled, engraved and polished by a team of the finest craftsmen in the world - a genuine Master Work.
