The Bella Donna opening ring is an extraordinary new Masterwork from Theo Fennell; a contemporary poison ring where the poison is good for you. The latest addition to our collection of handcrafted and unique opening rings frames a breathtakingly beautiful 15.34ct cabochan cut Ethiopian
. The stone seems to be lit from within with a vibrant light and, with 1.24ct
surrounding it, the result is truly mesmerising.
As always with Theo Fennell pieces, there is consummate craftsmanship and much symbolism. Belladonna, also known as deadly nightshade, has a long history of use in medicine, cosmetics, and as a poison but, in days gone by, women would also drop the herb into their eyes to dilute their pupils and make themselves more seductive and become a Bella Donna.
The shank is hand-engraved with deadly nightshade leaves and tiny butterflies showing off just one of the extraordinary skills of our team of brilliant craftsmen who have created the miniature work of art in our Fulham Road workshop.
